3. The interstitial nucleus, a sub-region of the brain’s hypothalamus, is typically smaller for male cats than for female cats. A neurobiologist performed autopsies on male cats who died from disease X, a disease affecting no more than 0.5 percent of male cats, and found that these male cats had interstitial nuclei that were as large as those generally found in female cats. Thus, the size of the interstitial nucleus determines whether or not male cats can contract disease X, but, the hypothalamus is known not to be causally linked to disease Y, and disease X is a subtype of disease Y.

我也是在B和E中想了很久。

B的　consideration that the arguement includes　这词的意思不能肯定。

但是后来看到E中的 conclusion that the argument depends on 就把E删除了。因为我认为　conclusion 是第二名话。不能说the first support了这个conclusion. 也不知这样想对不对。

如果说第2句话是结论的话，那它的前提是什么？
难到一个ARGUMENT可以没有前提，就有结论吗。我认为BUT前的话是结论，BUT后的话只是一个FACT OR EVIDENCE。
希望讨论。。。

我觉得倒数第二句的consideration更像是结论啊，否则这道题的conclusion在哪里呢？

我记得consideration是有两个意思的，一种是“考虑因素”，一种是“结论”

boldface的第一句更像是evidence而非fact，援引下面的这个解释
Evidence: what is used to support a conclusion (examples, stats, historical events). Although these may include facts, it is usually stronger than facts because they are direct elements needed for the conclusion to stand whereas facts are not necessary for the latter to stand

如果此句话想变为fact,应该只是陈述male cats的interstitial nuclei的大小，而不与female cats做对比，现在的这句是在事实的基础之上加入了对比，更成为直接支持结论的一个evidence.

我感觉第一句应该是经过一个research 之后（对于特定对象 male cats with disease X）得到的结果，而非人人皆知的既存事实，所以更应该是一个Evidence
