未来的同学大家好，又到了一年一度的申请季。楼主是OSU Fisher Full-time MBA在读的学生，也是Fisher招生办的Ambassador，负责MBA, MAcc, SMF, MHRM program的新生工作。
进来Fisher收到越来越多关于学校信息、申请流程、就业前景等诸多方面的咨询，所以和Admission Team商量在这此建楼，借助这个平台帮各位同学答疑解惑，大家如果有任何关于Fisher Master Program的问题都可以在这里po出来，楼主会联系学院给出最官方、最准确的回复。

先简单介绍一下学校。俄亥俄州立大学(OSU)位于mid-west重镇哥伦布。哥伦布是俄亥俄州首府，这座城市近年一直在不断扩张发展，经济地位不断攀升，逐渐超越老牌城市克利夫兰和辛辛那提。前一阵子总统大选期间希拉里和奥巴马纷纷来到我校发表了演讲。此外，Fisher也是Mid-west地区企业重点招聘的对象。就楼主的亲身体验，来Fisher进行校园招聘的公司包括Mckinsey, Deloitte Consulting, Amazon, 四大, Nationwide, Wendy, Cardinal Health等等。

作为在读MBA学生，楼主也顺便介绍一下最新入学的Full-time MBA 情况。

2018 MBA Class共计92名同学，平均年龄28岁，平均工作年限5年左右。
International Students占36%，来自14个不同的国家，其中中国学生包括4名来自大陆及1名来自台湾的同学，背景主要是金融、四大、咨询。

今年SM收到申请大概450-500份左右，最后录取45人。

今年MHRM收到申请225-275左右，录取48人，国际学生在25%，据我所知中国学生应该不到10名。
托福一般需高于100，GMAT没有Minimum，视整体情况决定。

学校没有具体统计中国学生的考试成绩，但全班平均GMAT在640。

学校office的官方回复如下：

The Fisher Admissions Committee examines each candidate and his or her qualifications holistically to decide on which students would provide the best fit for the MAcc program—this means that they consider the strength of each part of the application; academic background & work history, GMAT score, TOEFL/IELTS score, quality of the resume, quality of essay content and writing, and the information offered through the letters of recommendation.

Both international and domestic students are held to this same standard, though we require international students to have sufficient knowledge of the English language because the Fisher MAcc program is very interactive and participatory in nature. To be minimally competitive, we recommend all international applicants to aim for a total score of at least a 7 on the IELTS (with a minimum of a 7 on the speaking section) or a score of at least 100 on the TOEFL (with a minimum of a 24 on the speak). These are the recommended scores for students to be minimally competitive and to stand out among those that will be submitting similar scores with their application.

If a candidate’s scores are below this average, we still encourage submitting an application, but he or she may want to consider retaking the test it to improve scores and overall candidacy for admission. Additionally, we encourage all applicants to submit the optional video essay component of the application to best display spoken communication skills to the Admissions Committee as well.

以下是学校的官方回复：
Actually—I would advise against telling them to MAIL anything to us. They technically “make them available” to us through ETS.

Official TOEFL scores must be reported directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Official IELTS scores must be sent to The Fisher College of Business Office of Admissions directly from the testing agency. Applicant photocopies, "attested" or notarized copies are not accepted as official test scores. Scores are valid for two years from the date of the test. The Fisher College of Business will not review an application with expired TOEFL, IELTS or MELAB test scores. Allow at least four to eight weeks for your test scores to reach The Fisher College of Business. Use The Fisher College of Business code 1592 and Department Code 02 on your TOEFL exam. It may take up to 1 month for Ohio State to receive TOEFL scores from the time the test is taken—so it is recommended that candidates submit these as early as possible. Candidates may upload a copy of TOEFL scores into the application to expedite the matching of official test scores with the application.

The Fisher application processing office matches all separately submitted materials (e.g. transcripts, test scores, etc.) for an application once the candidate has officially submitted it. Even if a candidate has submitted all materials when they submit their application, it may take at least five days before the online application portal is updated (but could be longer if it is close to an application deadline). It may take up to 1 month for Ohio State to receive TOEFL scores from the time the test is taken—so it is recommended that candidates submit these as early as possible. Candidates may upload a copy of TOEFL scores into the application to expedite the matching of official test scores with the application.

谢谢yzxdy同学已经回答了这个问题，program申请页面上的确已经写明了英语要求。雅思接受，且要求overall>7, verbal>7。
如果没刷到的话建议不用放弃，可以先申后面再刷。

我申请的2017fall Macc，今天收到Dan Kieffer的congratulation letter，让我传一些financial support documents，但是没有明确说我被录取以及有没有奖学金什么的。因为我还没有最终决定去不去OSU，所以我想问下如果我把这些资料都传了会不会就等于说我必须去OSU呢？

上传这些资料并不表示一定要去OSU，但如果在截止日期前没完成学校可能认为你放弃这个offer。
如果有奖学金的话应该是后续会收到邮件。

Fisher的Operations是强势专业，里面有一些关于operations和technology的相关课程，选修课的选择也很多。另外professor手上也有很多项目，来Fisher招operations相关岗的公司也不少，个人认为supply chain的机会还是挺多的。但如果你只针对operations里的industry 4.0感兴趣，还是需要多多去主动发现机会的。

online interview应该是随机回答一些问题，不是和面试官的interview

学校看的是overall application package，如果其它有优势，托福没过百还是有机会的。

楼主，我收到SMF ad，想以下几个问题：
1. SMF项目挺新的，请问就业情况如何，有没有数据。尤其国际生在读期间和毕业后找到实习和工作的概率如何。在读期间有没有比较多的intern机会。
2. 能否简单说一下大概的生活费用。包括交通问题等，没有车是不是很难活

3. 我一月份交的申请。目前让我交financial support文件，没提奖学金的事儿。请问有没有可能argue一下还是学校卡的很死。
4. 在校期间做TA，GA 之类的工作机会多不多，想打工减轻生活费负担~

有本科申master的，偏向到说不上但的确会有先天优势，包括对fisher的了解，英语水平，专业契合度。但能否把这些优势有效展现出来还是看个人。我也看到过很多申请者虽然不是fisher本科，但更有竞争力的。

It is important to note that every year there are many students that apply for H1B Visas in the United States after completing their education—it is an extremely competitive process in any university.

Because the incoming class is very different every year, what kind of roles they seek and where they end up will also vary too. Just like any other job, the location and the role that graduates end up in is largely determined by the background of the student and what their goals are. Fisher’s Office of Career Management places a great emphasis on meeting the special challenges and unique needs of international students. As an incoming student into the program, you will work with a Career Consultant specific to that graduate degree program. They provide students with individual consultation on job search preparation, access to career fairs, on-campus interviews, and networking events, and they maintain postings for full-time career positions through our own private web-based job search tool.

For the 2016 graduating class of the SMF program, we also have several students from China specifically who successfully found employment in the U.S., with many still working here and pursuing a successful career. As an example, for the SMF Class of 2016, there were 15 Chinese students (out of a group of 26) who were actively searching for employment in the U.S. (the rest decided to return to China) and 12 of those found employment. For the 2016 graduating class of the MAcc program, 20 out of 33 international students seeking employment reported job offers within 3 months of graduation. Five of this 33 chose to continue their education.

2. 没车可以住在UV, 有shuttle，旁边也有超市，所以没车也很方便。有车的话选择面更多一些。columbus生活费较低，房租看个人情况，少的有$300+，多的近$1000的也有

3. 奖学金邮件和offer不是同一份邮件，可以等等看有没有后续

4. 学校的官方回复：
Teaching and Graduate Assistantship opportunities are a form of financial scholarship. These opportunities are not offered for SMF students, but are offered for MAcc students. Graduate Assistants are selected for placement based upon their skills and interests, and how those align with program needs. The Admissions Committee will use your application and interview to determine whether you will be awarded a position. Again, there is not a separate application for consideration of program scholarships. Every admitted student is automatically reviewed for funding consideration and no additional forms are required.

MHRM application deadline是Mar 17, 要申请的话得抓紧了。去年入学的大概有八九个中国人，申请人数相比MAcc和SMF要少一些。

虽然dl是4.15，但建议国际生最好早点申请。

建议联系admission office，问问原因在哪里，试试有没有办法提高，例如improve exam scores之类的。

楼主，想咨询MAcc 项目的Pre-MAcc 项目的时间范围和考试形式，我是非会计本，需要修intermediate accounting I&II 和 intermediate cost accounting，大略看了一下感觉内容很多，有点担心Pre-MAcc 项目时间太短。。。还有楼主能更新一下二维码吗？谢谢！

问过MAcc专业当时上过Pre-term的同学，据说压力并不算太大。由于我并不是这个program的，并不了解考试范围，建议到群里找同专业的问。

楼主您好，我想问两个问题。SMF的这个项目期限是9个月，也就是说我撑破天也只能在OSU呆9个月吗？还是说跟一些大学一样，9个月可以完成，但是能够延期至1年以上？
以及如果只能呆9个月，课业压力会不会很重？因为我想在研究生期间好好准备一下FRM和CFA，还有挤出时间的可能吗？

项目是九个月，还有一年OPT。课业虽然紧凑但也不会特别重，毕竟那么多中国人都能承受，能不能挤出时间完全看个人，建议和同一个项目的学长学姐聊聊。

学姐你好今天刚刷到了Dan发来的recommendation for admission 并且说要有一次电话交流，还有就是要提交存款材料，请问这算是一次面试吗？主要会聊些什么内容呢？而且这种推荐录取算不算正式录取呢？如果电话交流不太好的话是不是我就没有被录取的机会了呢？

会计本应该是不需要上pre-term课程的。

LZ大人。我终于盼来了OSU MBA的面试，可是真是有点够晚了。
我能不能问一下，RIVS的指定时间的面试是面试官来面我吧？不是自己对着问题录答案吧？
第二个问题，有面试之后能给录取的概率很高么？还是说这是海面？
我真的有点来不及了。怕等不了了。可是我真的很想去OSU，求指点。谢谢了！

如果是指定时间应该是in person interview, 如果是给你一段时间要你晚餐的一般是One way interview。
录取率这个不好说，自己做到最好就行了。

这个每个program每个candidate都不一样的，急得话可以发邮件催催admission office。
