标题: 今天拿到Queen's 的offer，情况特殊，可以参考，但不值得学习。

我今年三月初参加MBA Tour 2005 Toronto，跟Queen's的人谈了一下后决定开始申请。三月28号参加机考toefl，217-273，最终成绩至今不祥。4月4日递交了申请，5日收到确认信，说三个推荐人还欠两个。7号受到telephone interview的通知，我要求改成in person的。11好去学校面试，12号收到offer.从递申请到完成一共8天，而且最终连toefl成绩都没有收到就ok了。下个月2号就正式开学，我申请的时间之晚，完成的速度之快我自己都觉着是个奇迹。我就申请了这一个学校，其他学校也就不麻烦了。对于我的情况，我想说“赶得早不如赶得巧”再恰当不过了。

一旨在CD潜水多时，得益于很多前辈的信息，今天发一短贴也算有所补偿。个人观点，essays最重要，我的gmat也就670，背景复杂，在很多不同的行业干了各种不同的工作。老实说，不作假，但要注意不同行业和不同工作之间的直接间接关系和对自身职业发展的影响。GPA 79/100，他们就没问，推荐人全部是在网上回答问题，也没有被调查。总结起来还是essay最重要，我完全是自己写的，也就是GMAT作文4.0的水平，只要尽量做到没有语法错误，其实不需要华丽的词汇和花哨的句型，内容是关键。

Congrats! Welcome to Queen's! Your case is really a miracle!

Queen's program will start on May 2. Although there are still 14 openings at Queen's by today, the school is actually closing the door at this stage. As far as I know, the recruiting situation at other Canadian business schools is not optimistic this year. Therefore, schools are sending out e-mails and letters to encourage potential applicants. One famous business school even removes the application fee for some applicants.

So for those pursuing a Canadian MBA study, don't give up. Hurry up instead! Application turnaround time could be surprisingly short now. Good luck!
