i think for old applicant b-schools looks more on ur achievement, ur goal, and the gap in between. like me, no significant achievement up to now, but set up a ambicious goal, finally got dinged even with acceptable G740 and GPA3.9. for young guys, ambition is reasonable because they have time, and energy.... Compared with our Chinese peer, my candidacy is weak!

taking this lesson, i won't apply for the coming yrs due to the cost-benefit concern. i would like to consider it as 一种体验 as HUMMEL says, probably in late 30s.
