标题: Offer LSE & Imperial

很早就收到的Imperial的, Msc in Finance, 大概是12月3号收到

LSE, 1月12号收到...Msc Accounting and Finance

决定去LSE....

Backgroud

Gmat: 720

Gpa: 不知道, UK本科在读, Man Uni, High 2:1的成绩, 据说是gpa3.7, 最后一年争取拿到1st class, 就是gpa 3.8--4.0

Tofel/Ielts: 不需要..

Work Experience: Summer internship in UBS and KPMG

and parttime job is coursee-related as well

Imperial 很好申请的, 那个专业感觉是人就要的, 可能我说的不好听点, 确实是这样....

而且非常贵............所以就不去了............

呵呵，你是在英国读的本科，混在那么多老外里，当然无所谓了。我们在国内混的，成天都是和自己打交道，如果出去后还全是中国人，还不如在国内读了。 BTW：你寒假回家了没？

of coz, it's true. i graduated from LSE last year and I know it pretty
well. I don't think MSc Accounting and Finance is very good in LSE and
it's difficult for Chinese students from this major to get a job here.
Econ and MFE are better.

It's really a joke that in LSE you'll have a lot of pressure on the
course work. Yes, it's true that Chinese students have some
difficulties in writing essay in English but the examinations here are
quite easy. All the questions are straightforward and the only thing
you need is a good memory.

as far as I know, the first round offers will be made after Xmas. The
second round is the end of January. You'll expect to know the result in
March.

lse很慢, 等10-15个星期吧, 我申请的很早都是8个星期才有offer的, imperial应该很快, 4个星期吧,...不过imperial容易申请呀, 我们这里听说的, 基本申请就有offer的, 没有什么背景也可以, 你放心吧

now i'm working in London but I'll quit my job and move to HK in the following months.
i don't know LSE's reputation in US but in UK, it has a very good reputation.

楼主，冒昧问一句，你的申请表格上是写的expected first 还是2：1啊，如果写的是first, 那它给的conditional offer是要你拿first吗？

我大二只拿到middle sixties. 想写expected first, 但一想万一我拿不到，而它又定个破condition要我拿first,那我不就死兔了吗？

我们拿到offer的人, 基本都是1st class的condition, 只有我和另外一个朋友是2:1

不知道为什么, 大多数基本都是1st

1st 要求真是太高了，如果对一些5名之后学校的学生来要求还公平吧。如果在一个什么都很严的学校还要拿first, 简直是杀人啊！

Well, it is not easy to get a first class in my school anyways....

but I did heard it is easier in some schools which are ranked within the top 5!!

it depends.

一般如果条件不错而且还没录满的话，一个月之内肯定就录了。

LSE's offer condition is based on expectations. Normally a 2.1 in second year will lead to a condition of 2.1, while a first class mark will earn you a first-class condition. Sounds unfair but that's how it works.
