标题: 1/2 Tuition Waiver , MSF program at GWU

Today I received an email from MSF program at GWU, They give me 1/2 tuition waiver . It sounds good to me. But I have read the message given by whales_hu at CD forum, he said the total cost of this MSF program is 75000USD for two year, or 60000USD for one year. Even I got the tuition waiver, I cannot afford it. So now I am considering..........

anybody can give me some information on the MSF program at GWU ? such as the real cost(the number showed on the financial certificate?), Placement .... etc.. Thankssssssss.

the tuition should not be that much. i guess that number includes living expenses.

as far as i know, that program is good. the profs. are experienced. the bad thing might be true for all professional finance programs, that is, it's not easy to get a job, a big portion of chinese students, etc.

you can get some info what you want from the director or the Chinese alumni.

42000UCD Tuition Fixed, Living cost 12000 USD (around), plus the health insurance and Books 3000USD. You do the math.

我现在正在读finance PHD, 不想读了。所以像转master. 现在最关心的是就业前景了。

monicar, 你在那里看到的排名？是哪个专业？12名？？是national的还是regional的排名？我只知道GWU的international business 好像在20-25名左右，还有就是他的法律系特别好，其他的都好像在60名以后吧？？

至于排名，我想说一句，我在一个商学院面试的时候，招生老师谈到这些所有的排名的时候讲：大概美国50所大学参与的排名，所以有参与排名的学校自然就占优势。

我理解的意思就是排名只是参考。

Jacey, 我说的是Marster of Finance 这个program 的排名。你看到的排名可能是mba 或者research 方面的排名吧？

工作经验可以没有，如果gmat很高。

它的课程是固定的，没有选择的余地，这点很不爽。

外国人特别多，教授和学生都是。
