选项B正确，不过藕做题时选了C，看了前人的讨论，觉得C并没有错在平行结构上，"be"动词的省略应该是正确的，是不是C里面的那个逗号“，”不对亚，改成分号“；”就对了尼？

另外查了一下longman，“or else”是口语表达。－－这条不知可否也作为排除C的理由？请NN指点。

polar ice 是一个东东，指“极冰“，不存在 little polar 这个东东。。。藕觉得这里这个没有歧义。

如果longman那样讲，应该算是一个理由把，毕竟gmat sc 考的书面语法表达。
