大全164--fewer和less的修饰

首先我对于D和E的看法是这样的。。D fewer修饰的是可数名词pullutants，than后面补足了助动词does，但是缺陷就是than后面不对称了。

E的看法是less of我认为修饰不可数名词，than后面对称，但是我认为最好补充出do。。

所以这都有问题，那不存在正确答案。。

I could suggest many different methods, but anyway, here are just a few.
There are only a very few (=not many) exceptions.

Mr Wingate was full of explanations, but precious few (=hardly any) of them made sense.

综上所述,虽然OG里面明确less修饰不可数,fewer修饰可数,但是其实这道题目考的是less of 的词组, 所以也就没有less/fewer之争了

不会啊，这里有than，肯定是比较级的比较。。所以不是单单的考less of和few of

但是LDOCE上的 例子就是than比较啊

The map covered less of the area than I'd thought.  ---> 这个例句简直跟大全题目如出一辙, area也是可数名词, 但还是用了less of
Flying is less of a risk than driving.

看了,不同意说less是修饰动词

我觉得还是修饰后面的名词, 相当于一个形容词词组做定语

还是觉得这个句子不能单独从修饰句子看待。。up
