In the future, students may have the choice of studying at home by using
technology such as computers or television or of studying at traditional schools. Which would you prefer? Use reasons and specific details to explain your choice

Nowadays, with the rapid development of the information technology and the wide spread of internet, the traditional schools suffer the impact from some newly established kinds of education which allow students to study at home. However, I still strongly prefer the former one with the following two reasons.

Compared with the so-called "advanced" education, an education that only pass knowledge to you, mechanically and continuality, without or with only limited feedback, the traditional schools' main characteristic of interaction between students and teachers shows apparent superiority. That is, students could either ask teachers for a pause in class to explains some points they feel confused about or consult to teachers face to face after class for a difficult theory referred in the book, which will make students quickly understand what they learn and hold a coherent knowledge system. Also, based on their teaching experience, teachers could make best use of the question the students raise and the problem reflected in homework or examinations, acquiring a deep understanding about what the students have mastered and what they still have to emphasize in class, which results in a flexible arrangement in teaching.

Another positive factor that plays an important role in study is the atmosphere which only could be experienced in the traditional schools. Imaging that in a classroom, when you are having class with a lot of classmates who pay all the attention to the lecture or the information on the blackboard, there is no difficulty for you in concentrating you mind. Moreover, when a issue relevant to the lecture is raised, you can engage in heat discussion full of relatively professional opinions, which will make you understand what you have learned better.

Of course, it is not wise to ignore some merits in education using high-tech technology. For instance, when some serious emergency break out such as SARS, studying at home using computer or television is a better choice. However, through discussion above, we can easily come to the conclusion that studying in tradition schools grants us more advantages.
