some thoughts about tuck

I just came back from Tuck's info. section. It was great. but it was not as great as kellogg's. Their alumni are great and very sophiscated. But they are not as impressive as K's. (there were about 10+ alumni, 2 banker, 2 nonprofit, 2 entrepreneurs, 1 film producer, and some consultants) I couldnt really feel that they were very passionate about their school. During the presentation, the admission officer focused on Tuck's very well rounded general management curriculum, and its close knit community. The alumni went through their little stories at Tuck. Nothing really special. But I can tell that Tuck is more academic focused than is kellogg. The presentation was solid. I had great time talking to two of the alumni. And my conclusion about tuck will be inconclusive.

actually it is a bit surprised that you said these alumni seemed not to be very passionate about their school. Isn't Tuck positioned and perceived as a school with a very close-knitted and committed community?

They did mention they had a great time while at school. But I just couldnt really feel the passion that I felt from K's alumni. They ahve different types of style, with K's being outgoing and intelligent, while T's being professional and sophiscated. Well, they are all down-to-earth, but in different ways. Pick the one you like better.

sounds little weird. I visited some blogs of TUCK students, and was impressed by their close-knit community.

I felt that strange too. They did mention their closeknit community. But it was bad that i didnt feel it when they talked abou it.
