I was also required to write down the reasons why I choose Yale in 5 minutes. My interview lasted about 1 hour, which was a little bit longer than the normal one, I guess? The interviewer ask me how to motivate the Chinese students to be more interactive in class. She said that their passive attitude frustrated the professors. I guess that is the reason they focus so much on interview, especially oral communication ability.
