Yale Interview Invitation

Today I received the campus interview invitation from Yale SOM. It is very late coz I submitted my application on Jan,2nd for round 2. However, like most of other applicants in mainland, I will not be albe to go to New Haven for the interview. So I will contact the school for off campus interview. Any others have the same situation as me? I know that some people got the invitation very early. Did you get the chance to have interview off campus or via phone? For the friends who are still waiting for the news, do not worry, your invitation may be on the way... fyi...My background: 5 year w/e, GPA2.9, GMAT 720

Just forget it, they may come to interview the mainland applicants.

I submitted on Jan. 4 and haven't heard from Yale so far.

Thanks for your response. You submitted on Jan.4, so you missed the round 2 deadline, i think that is why you did not get the invitation now.

The deadline of Yale r2 should be Jan. 5.

Yale will conduct an interview in early March in Shanghai.

This is a very good sign for you, alldkdk. Most of the interview invitations were out in mid January and the adcom said only a very limited invitations will be sent out after that. The fact that you got the invitation now means you are competitive. The Yale interivew is pretty standard, so be prepared for the normal questions. Good luck.
