Fuqua or Stern?

建议看看businessweek上的statistics比较一下两个学校的不同. Fuqua的selectivity在40%左右，而yield只有45%，Stern的selectivity在27%左右，而yield也是48%，两个学校yield比例都不高（一半以上被录取的都选择不去），而比较selectivity是stern胜出

NYU is a great school for IB/finance, as I know, all FY chinese students have landed banking jobs for this summer, which is even better than Wharton....if you are a girl, you would love NYU and city life....Duke's reputation is better in Undergraduate (top 5), its B-school is just same as other level 2 top 15 schools ( non-M7 or non-elite8 schools), such as Darden, Michigan, NYU, or Cornell.....Duke is more well-rounded, but if you compare it with above level 2 top 15 schools, you will find that Duke is weaker than NYU in finance, worse than Darden in consulting, no better than Michigan in general management, and not as cool as Cornell which is in Ivy League. So well-rounded also means no specialty.

Disclaimer:I am a R1 waitlist in Duke, but at that time I did not have many ideas about B-schools, ......

duke 不是长青藤的吗？

Duke is not an ivy-league school.

but its undergraduate program is just as good as the ivy's.

Duke is also known as Harvard in the south.

right, Duke is most famous for its brand name in college and its Blue Devils (college basketball), But I should admit that Duke is still a very strong B-school, in my former analysis, I forgot that Duke is very strong in Marketing.......Anyway, if LZ want to explore the finance world, NYU is a no-brainer choice. In those american's minds, NYU is always a great school, not an Ivy League school, but a part of the proud New Yorkers....
