关于字数问题

发现有的学校要求essay的字数要控制在750-1000字，请问这是不是必须的？？写完以后，发现超了好多哦，而且怎么删都到不了这么些。。。。。。

另外，如果是网申的话，上传的essay有什么格式上的要求吗？通常情况下是什么样的格式呢？？

Is there an upper limit for the essay? Does it say anything like 2 page maximum or 1000 words maximum? If so, try to follow the instruction. I have heard that you can go over 10%, but make sure you improve the quality of your essay by 10% as well.

But if 750-1000 is suggested/recommended only, you can just write whatever you think is necessary. But the same rule does apply, dont write anything that is NOT necessary. Answer the question in a simple and straight way!!!

If i were you, i wouldnt go over the limits.

You can go over the word limits, if you have something reads following:

Although there is no restriction on the length of your response, most applicants use between 250 and 500 words for each essay. There are no right or wrong answers. Please double-space your responses.
