For those financial insiders, they of course know that Boston is the base camp for buy-side firms, say M-Funds, H-Funds, like NY for sell-side, what we call I-Bs. BC is reputable on Finance though shadowed by HBS/MiT in the same city, its alumni, including Peter Lynch, are influential in FS field as well.
Speak of Rotman, its influence only covered, though strongly covered, north of the border. Without the consideration of immigration identity, who on the earth will stay in Canada if they could head south?
The Rotman finance faculty is impressive; staff and students community are not, especially their attitudes to Chinese students. That raised my hesitation.
