My idea & syllabus: The rise of multinational corporations is leading to global homogeneity. Reason 1: Multinational corporations have comparatively greater advantages over regional companies or local small business and they are rapidly dominating the global markets of all fields. Greater advantages: stronger financial backgrounds; more skillful marketing techniques; Dominating global markets: some examples Reason 2: Multinational corporations lead the consuming homogeneous concepts and habits globally while quickly squeezing out their smaller competitors. + one example (e.g Microsoft ) Reason 3: Some people may argue that people in different regions still maintain their own favors. For example, some fast foods, like Mc Donald, actually taste differently in different country. Mc Donald do not use lard in India to respect the religious belief of most Indian people. However, evidences like this are not sufficient to sustain the conclusion that regional differences are still reserved….
