Traditionally, some contend that the conflict between the duty to serve society and the duty to make money is inevitable. However, such orthodox view is now being challenged by many changes of realities. Therefore, as for as I am concerned, I believe that there is no inevitable conflict between make money and serve society for a corporation, and my view will be greatly confirmed by following reasons. At the beginning, fulfilling a duty to serve society, corporation can establish a healthy image to the public, and, therefore, strengthen their sales of products or service. There is a good example to support the view. This year a company sponsored a popular TV show, named Super Girl, and this program was so popular that many boys and girls enjoying it. At the same time, the products sales of that company increased sharply. This example demonstrate that if a corporation acknowledge a duty to serve society, it can be easily accepted by the public and hence its long period profits. Secondly, acknowledge to a duty to serve society will built the confidence of their employees' confidence to the company. A company, with high social prestige, will have a high morale. Employees believe the company and are willing to contribute to it, so the morale will improve the efficiency and effeteness of the corporation, and consequently enhance profits. Without reaching a duty to serve society will ruin a company. Last year, in China, a company, made bad milk powder for profits, harm many children. May be company can earn much money at first, but it was seriously punished, and many leaders of the company were put into jail. Consequently, paying little attention may, if possible, contribute to the short term profits, however, in a long period, in order to make money corporations must carefully acknowledge a duty to serve society.
