What kind of leader would most likely to be success? The character of an ideal leader is not always stable, people who proved to be great political leader or business leader basically share different traits. However, there is a saying that only the one who can achieve the goals he or she ask the others to accomplish can be accepted as a leader. While in some cases it may make sense, in general I suspect this saying for the following reasons.
First of all, we all understand that the development of the society cannot exist without specialized production and division of labor. One should focus on the thing that he or she can best deal with, and work in the field that need the person most. If a leader has to do everything better than the stuff, then the leader should be in place of the worker. Moreover, the obligation of the leader, nowadays, is to organize the team and make the members cooperate better. In other words, in modern organization, the leader actually plays the role of an organizer and an inter-human relation dealer. The trait that leaders are required to have is the ability to manage relationship among the members of the organization and that between the organization one locates in and other organizations. In that case, any specialized skills are useless and needless. So why do we ask the leader to learn and master these useless skills? 例子例子!~~
Secondly, even if a person more likes a leader with superior skills in one's own field, he has to accept the fact that such a qualified leader is too hard to find. Even in a company that has minimum scale, there are people with different education backgrounds and various job skills. Only because the speed you tide the house cannot exceed that of your stuff, you should never be the head of the company. Don't you think the case is ridiculous? Therefore, although the standard sounds great in justifying leader, it is easier said than done. With the prosperity of the multinational company,the structure in a company becomes more and more complicated, and the staff of the company becomes larger. The managers of such company might even have no idea of how many skills that are mastered by the stuff, not to say to perform the same task.
Admittedly, when the leader can show his superior skill in doing the same task that he expect the others to perform, he will surely win himself applause and respect(esteem)However, he may have other ways to establish that prestige, and as far as he can bring the organization interest and triumph, it does not matter whether he has a specialized skill.
In a word, a leader does not have to be as skilled as his subordinate staff, and the most important task of the leader is to handle the inter-human relations beat and make people cooperate better. It is problematic to conclude that only the managers that can show superior ability in doing specific tasks is qualified for a leader.
