I would rather say people's loyalty to political parties and political leaders makes them to form ideas converge to the political leader's or parties' intention than say the loyalty hinders their ability to form their own opinions about an issue. 1When a person is loyal to a political party , he or she is likely to conform to the regulation of the certain party. He or she will act from the perspective that the whole party hold. 2The loyalty towards a certain political leader will cause one to imitate. From the political leader's opinion to behavior, from the political stands to the private life style, all aspects of the leader will be simulated by the supporters. 3Some one may argue that the above-mentioned imitation can just demonstrate the author's point that the ability of the loyal supporters of a certain party or leader to form their own opinions about an issue is hindered by the loyality. However, there is one thing that we should not forget, the motivation that behind their loyalty. In fact, it is their ability to form their own idea that leads them to choose their political believes.
