Well, I guess if you can get it right the first time and know comfortably why you are right, and if you are under great time pressure, it's not too out-of-mind to skip the OG explanation for that particluar question.
Of course if you have time, absolutely you should follow Pumpkin MM's advice to carefully study all the explanations.
