2、无关词排除法：

A，在反对结论；

B，说40岁以后进入这个领域的科学家如何如何，无关内容；

C，科学家祈望自己如何如何，也是无关内容；

D，有关内容；

E，说到非自然科学领域，也是无关内容。

最后一句的this explaination是指哪个？

还是不太能理解为什么C是无关。

1、this explanation 就是对应那个alternative explaination；

2、C说科学家认为他们的创新能力下降了，文章说他们用尽了所有的机会，文章中没有提到能力的变化；

I choose B

B supports the explanation(An alternative explanation...) and weaken the previous assertion(scientists do their...)

標準答案給的也是B

by the way

in D, "in other activities..." is irrelevant choice obviously.

一现象: scientists do their most creative work before age forty

为什么呢? 第一个解释: 年龄增长使scientists失去了creative capacity.

不同意. 第二个解释: 因为在40岁的时候大部分scientists已经在他们的工作领域工作了15年甚至更长,

他们用完了这个领域里面的创新机会.

问哪个finding支持第二个解释?

B, 很大一部分作出了很高创新贡献的scientists超过了40, 他们在进入工作领域的时候比别人老
