B中的it之所以不能指代a sketchy picture关键不仅仅在语法上，还在于逻辑不通。从A中我们已经很清楚句子要表达的意思，所以B显然改变了这种含义；换言之，it从句义上应该指代scholars的一种行为，而GMAT强调的it仅可以指代名词，所以，这里的it是不合适的。
