I use eliminiation: operate... like... can be safely removed from possible answers: Only A & D are left. Let's look at D: distinction to be dwellings that must operate as business. 1)"distinction to be" is not acceptable expression. 2)"to be sth that...." the "that" clause can be seen to decorate "sth", or the "distinction". It's ambiguous! However, in the expression of "distinction of being sth that", it is more clearer! 3)Can't omit "being"! I can read it out that the author emphasiz "being" or "existing".... |
