Q29
For protection from the summer sun, the Mojave lived in open-sided, flat-topped dwellings known as shades, each a roof of poles and arrowweed supported by posts set in a rectangle.
- each a roof of poles and arrowweed
- each a roof of poles and arrowweed that are being
- with each being a roof of poles and arrowweed
- with roofs of poles and arrowweed to be
- with roofs of poles and arrowweed that are
E的问题是后面的with结构会有歧义,原意应该是with (roofs of poles and arrowweed) that are supported by posts set in a rectangle,歧义会变成(with roofs of poles) and (arrowweed that are supported by posts set in a rectangle),这种歧义OG里也出现过,请看OG128,而且with结构如果用逗号分开的话,逻辑主语容易追溯到句子的主语the Mojave,这样意思就不对了,因为后面的东西应该是房子的特征。
不过个人认为后面的a rectangle并没有限定前面就应该是roofs,因为它指的是posts set in a rectangle。
Q33
For the last five years the Dutch economy has grown faster than Britain, France, or Germany, with the unemployment rate having remained well below that of the other three countries.
- Britain, France, or Germany, with the unemployment rate having remained
- have those of Britain, France, or Germany, and the unemployment rate remaining
- have Britain, France, and Germany, and the unemployment rate has remained
- the economy of Britain, France, and Germany, with the unemployment rate that has remained
- the economies of Britain, France, and Germany, and the unemployment rate has remained
