Metabolism 为何能跟复数动词were?

如果你仔细看看以前的帖子，你应该发现，这道题几乎没有任何争议，答案应该是A。

B的主谓不一致，CDE中xx of的结构错。

其实我个人浅见啊~~是要拆开看的that后面是一个从句，自己有自己的内容的~~

many species of dinosaur had a metabolism 然后这个metabolism是什么特点呢？

a metabolism more like a warm-blooded mammal’s than a cold-blooded reptile’s

将从句部分的东西拆开就可以得到了~~我这么理解不知道对不对~~大家指正！！
