OG 11排除B的理由

我的问题是，是不是ETS 认为代词指代的只能是前文出现的，而不能指代后文出现的，比如picture...

it 应该可以指代后面的，但是在这里若it指代picture的化，逻辑意思上说不通，不能既“base picture",又“paint picture".

请NN门指点！

IT是绝对可以指代后面的,OG题目有这样的例子.

所以,我做这道题目是主要是从意思上理解句子,然后用逻辑来排除错误选择.

these scholars have painted a sketchy picture of the activities 这个动作是以 accounts of various ancient writers 为基础的，从逻辑上，这里的it应该是指后面的整个句子，从语法上却不可以。

感觉高中老师交过这种类型的题目，就是选e？呵呵
