请问是不是这里把be not...but do当作平行呢？否则前面是形容词后面是动词不平行。因为不能说not be...只有be not,因此not后面实际上还是接的动词。

归结到but 和 not...but的用法区别，满麻烦的，先看个2例子吧

not 后面是 spring而but 后面是evolved，时态不一致，按照not...but的平行是不可以的，原因是这里是,,,but的用法

看完例题，开始说两者的区别，最大也是最容易区分的区别就是助动词，如果前面是一个否定，那么助动词后不可避免出现not（当然我们不可能为了平行将助动词放在not后面），注意，此处可能并不是一个not...but的并列而是but并列两个动词，此处当然be和实义动词按照平行法则可以平行

先谢谢tianyi，但是你说的我不同意。首先，你举的OG的例子，我认为是not..but..句型。原因是这里应该是did spring和evolved平行，两者都是过去时，只不过我们不能说not did spring but evolved,因此，这是符合平行原则的（两个过去式平行）

其次，73题是典型的不是而是题，和普通的but转折句有很明显的意思不同。（你再感觉一下）如果按你说的系动词不能和实意动词平行，就没法解释了。

76题，我不同意consisted是形容词的说法，应该是过去分词，和continuous共用一个was.

总结下来，我已经不确定要不要平行了。反正这些题都选对了，只是因为读着顺而已。
