回去再看一下OG179的解释, 才发现你的问题是因为没有注意到解释中的 furthermore, the comma required before and in larger compound sentences is omitted中的"and"是斜体, 意思是指B答案中的第二个and前面应该加逗号, 因为第二个and后面又是一个完整的句子, 不可以不用逗号与前面的分割开. OK?

正是因为连接句子，所以才加逗号啊。两个简单句用连词连接构成复合句（compound sentence－a sentence that has two or more main parts）

如果连接谓语、宾语之类的简单句中的某个成分则不用逗号了。

哦！！我好像一直都犯了一个错误，以为只要有and 连接，句子与句子之间就不用逗号了。天，这么多年都没发现呢。真是谢谢两位啦！！这么说来，如果我说，I am a girl, and he is a boy.要这样表达才对，是吗？？

'and' can be used to express results and explanation:
Water the seeds and they will germinate. (from dictionary)
