Capability vs. Ability actually, it appears to me that there is no evident difference between capability and ability. I searched and located all the problems regarding the usage of capability, capacity, can and ability as well. It seems that GMAC has a preference order: can>(able)ability>capabable(capabilty)...so far, no discovery has been found that "capacity" is used as a correct answer...in addition, capability puts more emphasis on "natural abilty" than ability does...ability refers to all kinds of states of being able to do sth. regardless of "natural" or "acquired"... Note: That's just a dare conjecture, no official provenance.
