又想到一点：
A中说"Over the course of the eighteenth century, the average output of ironwork tripled as a result of several improvements in blowing machinery and
                because coal replaced charcoal as the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore."
简单地说就是"output tripled是improvements的结果 并且 因为coal代替了charcoal",那么"output tripled"到底是"improvements"的直接结果，还是"coal代替了charcoal"的直接结果，亦或是这两者共同导致的结果？

用数学符号表示，就是"improvements =>output tripled"，还是"coal代替了charcoal=>output tripled"，亦或是"improvements & coal代替了charcoal =>output tripled"?

A的表述无法区分上述情况．我想原题是想说＂两者共同导致了output tripled＂．
只有B才能清楚地表达这个意思．

我说两句吧，这道题本来我也想发帖问的：

查了下讨论贴，发现A,C争议很大，很少有像lz执著于B哈

首先，我对B得看法是，in addition to，比较奇怪，如果要表达和前面的原因并列的另一个原因应该不用逗号的，这样有修饰整个句子的嫌疑

我赞成的是A,觉得是和OG里面那道，partly to acquire...and partly because...可能有异曲同工之妙，呵呵，纯属猜测

对于另一个争议答案C，我觉得with sth's being done这个结构不好，特别是sth's，有这个必要么？with有这个用法~？？

我也选的B，虽然A除了不对称没什么错，但B我也找不到什么错……
