“必错”“永远错”这样的说法恐怕才是不妥的。

while+prep短语的用法是对的，但要注意主句主语是什么。

例如：They wanted a place to stay while in Paris. while后面省略了句子的主谓they were。

在这题中B是错在while...省略的主语（应该是she）和前面主语（her career）逻辑上不一致，所以错。

with的用法：with/without + S1 + doing/based on/介词短语/adj./noun + SVO构成的复合结构（独立主格）作状语，在句尾修饰前面的句子或动作，例如：

She walked back to the bus stop, with him following her.

后面一部分说主句和从句主语不一致，所以不能省略主谓，同意。

但是前面说while+介词短语的用法对，不敢苟同，白勇语法书和tony的语法总结都提到状语从句省略形式， 引导词+介词短语/名词短语肯定错。

目前GMAT中还没看到引导词+介词短语/名词短语作为正确选项的例子。

查了查字典，while主要是作连词，当然也有作介词的情况，但好似很少很少，表“直到”的意思，作为连词，while前后的结构必须是对称的，（有时可能出现省略的结构）

那么如果连词后面要跟介词短语的话，连词前面就必须也出现类似的介词短语，这样才可能出现连词直接加介词短语的情况，因为中间的主谓成分省略掉了，这种情况在than的身上比较多见，而在while身上比较少见，但一般来说，while后面一般都是跟完整句子的，所以有完整句子的选项比较理想
