treatise是论著的意思，这种类型的句子优选出现新名词同位语的选项；然后，argue for是主张、赞成的意思，不一定需要人做施动者；A错在arguing修饰人，还是修饰那篇论文，不清楚，不如同位语结构好；A还错在两个for不平行。

in E, i don't think that "argued for" is a correct tense here, because the past tense means that the action "argue" only occured one time in the past, rather than many times.

so, the expression in E seems to distort the original meaning of the sentence.

would somebody tell me what's wrong in B ?

因为前面Discourse on Women 已经是a treatise，LM 发表了一部著作，在一部著作中LM呼吁。。。。。。给人感觉逻辑含义有问题。
如果将B中的a treatise 改成
the treatise 是否就正确呢？如下：
In 1850 Lucretia Mott published her Discourse on Women, arguing in the treatise for equal political and legal rights for women and
for changes in the married women’s property laws.
LM 发表了一部著作，在该部著作中LM呼吁。。。。。。

这实际是在考行文逻辑
某人published一部著作，一部主张XXX的著作。（因为英文的逻辑是喜欢把定语放后面）
中文的叙述就是某人published一部主张XXX的著作。（长长的修饰部分放在“的”前面）
所以arguing应该是修饰著作而不是修饰人
