(E) a factual Encyclopedia by Diderot and the fictional Candide, by his friend Voltaire, caused a sensational scandal, which

这道题目,句首一看就知道有逻辑主语的考点;

那么A就可以排除掉了,A里面“Published----,(A),and (B).”(A)和(B)并列,成了 Published---,both men---逻辑主语不搭配;

Diderot and his friend Voltaire's" 戛然而止;而把Encyclopedia和Candide 放到with里修饰scandal做什么?

C 正确;

D也是逻辑主语不搭配的原因,排除;

请文likui:“Published----”为什么造成(A)和(B)的并列,published是在修饰(A)(B)吗?

"were the cause "单复数不一致啊,应该是"were the causes".
