As far as the academic reputation is concerned, Suffolk is famous for its law school at most. The reason, however, why choose the MSA of SSOM is that the program itself is accredited by AACSB, which means that after the graduation, we will be automatically eligible to sit for the CPA exam. For the replacement, it should not be too difficult for MSA graduates to find a job in either the public accounting field or in the private accounting field in Massachusetts. Havent said that, thoguh, F-1graduates may loss their competitive advatanges to the domestic graduates because we cannt work without INS's authorization, the H-1 visa. On the other hand, internship/Co-Op and OPT provide tremedous opportunities for us to practice our classroom learnings in the real business world and more importantly, for employers to know more about us as the interns, Co-Ops, or OPTS.
Accounting insudtry has a very diversified areas for us to plan and develop their career paths. I dont think there is difficulties for us to find our careers in one of the areas and MSA of Suffolk, even though is not as famous as that of Bentley, UMASS Amherst, or Boston College, still has a relatively high graduate replacement rate. Please note that Suffolk's alumni network is pretty huge and that would help us a lot in career planning.
I will have more converstaion with the director on the above topics and keep you posted. Last, thank you for your blessing. I have a intermediate accounting midterm next tues and a managerial accounting homework and a financial auditing bonus study due respectively on mon. and tues.. GMAT is on Fri. OG.
