[讨论]title in resume: truth or lie?

Dear all, I've got some difficulty in the application process and would like to discuss it with you all. I work in a famous car company for 2.5years. My actual job is equivalent to a brand manager, and I am leading a team of four. However, I have no formal title. Do you think I should say I am a brand manager in my resume?

Sometimes I just can't figure out the difference between truth and lies

你不能说那是你的职位, 因为即使你做的事情相当于经理, 公司没有给你这个职位, 你还是不能写.

而且你要清楚你们公司经理的工作范畴到底是什么,经理并不仅仅是领导几个人就可以决定的.

一个公司不可能没有正式的头衔给你, 如果真是如此, 要么公司不正式, 要么就是对于员工太忽视.既然是一家著名的汽车公司怎能对于员工没有正式的职位呢? 那么当初公司招收你的时候又是怎么说的呢?难道你会糊里糊涂地给人家打工吗?这些你都要想清楚.

建议你和公司协议.最好让公司给你一个正式的职位, 这样对你将来也有好处.

agree with gx 168. Your school may verify the information later. So do not lie.

I guess I can't wirte it in my resume then.  As for my firm, yes it's famous, but still informal, messy management... I didn't know it was like this when I graduated, that's a common mistake of  a lot of fresh grads...
