Columbia 的essay真难啊

谁能帮帮我吗？给我一点建议，帮我激发一点思想的火花。：）

题目如下：

2. In discussin Columbia Business School, Dean R. Glenn Hubbard remarked, " We have establihsed the mind-set that entrepreneurship is about everything you do." Please discuss a time in your own life when you have identified and captured an opportunity.

不太明白entrepreneurship究竟指什么？后面问的好象又是看准时机、抓住机会，是不是这种能力是entrepreneurship的一种表现？还有，既然是问about everything you do,是不是最好讲工作以外的？因为第一篇essay里可以讲挺多工作的内容了。

3. What personal value means the most to you and why?

也不太清楚personal value指什么，大家能不能给我点启发？比如可以写写哪些方面的内容？想了两三天，还一点头绪都没有。

咱其实也不是有多喜欢这学校，主要是离咱家近。

1. Entrepreneur - "one who organizes, manages, and assumes the risks of a business or enterprise"

Here, it seems to me that Dean Hubbard thinks entrepreneurship is not limited to that "people establish a company of their own and manage it", but can be demonstrated by everything people do - like taking on an initative, leading a team, persuading managers to adopt a new approach, etc...

2. "A value is a belief, a mission, or a philosophy that is really meaningful to a person".

Personal values may include:

the belief in hard work,Honesty, Independence, Creativity, Leadership, Fame, Money, Power and authority

前几天在上海参加哥大的见面会, 反正也不申请,就冲着来的那个ADCOM说, 你知道为什么今天晚上来得人不多吗? 因为大家都知道你们不怎么招中国大陆学生. 那个人回击我说,我刚才说了呀, 我们是在考虑扩大在中国的招生. 就不知道怎么个考虑法, little positive news, uh?

我联系了一个哥大的前年的学生，他说，由于哥大招收了一些在美国持中国护照的人，因此大陆的学生就比较少了，去年好像一共收了6个人

哥大的題目我昨晚也在想，南瓜Q我的時候就在想這題目

今年哥大要求四題，(加補充題就五題了)，但至少2,3,4都沒有與任何學校重覆，以我目前看來

哥大的題目堪稱2005年秋季班入學essay中，最難的三題

而且更麻煩的是，第三題Personal values與第四題(二選一)這兩題都要求你寫250字就好

言簡意賅，我想這是最困難的地方
