Waitlist by Michigan and Darden, any suggestions?

I applied to Michigan's 1st round and Darden's 3rd round and were both put on the waitlist. I was really sad about the result.

I am not sure whethere there is anything I can do to improve my chances of being accepted?

This is a rather good sign. Let's look in this perspective:

Your working histroy is a bit short. Both the schools are reapplicant friendly. Your will have a good chance next year even if you could not be off the list this year.

Interesting, I experienced the same thing last year.

My honest suggestion would be: wait and reapply next year. I am sure you can get in.

Remember to request feedback from both schools. Make visible improvements. Be sure to network with alumni, students and AdCom sufficiently before reapplication.
