you are basically gearing towards Chicago Job market. It really depends on your background. if you are an engineer, Purdue could be a better choice.
Overall, I would pick Purdue even though the ranking says otherwise. The main reason is that IU is a public school. These days, career service budget at a public school in US is a laughing stock.

So, make up your mind on what kind of job you want, what kind of company you want be in, check out the companies that graduates of these two went in the past, then you can easily make up your mind.
purdue operations management is very strong, always rank top 3 by almost all organizations and newpapers for many years. in the school's breif introduction, it clearly says that its goal is to cultivate the leader of operations management. if you like this field, it's best.
