我贫困的单词啊，又见Gutman

初读：G建议这个用于exogamy的选择可能是来自于西非的婚姻管理条例，这些条列包含各种的禁止close kin联盟（近亲吧），虽然他们来自于不同的tribal团队。

生词：

exogamy： 异族结婚（这个词关键，却没背过。。。）

kin：家属，同族，血缘关系

tribal：部落的，种族的

看到这句已经很困了，啥也没看进去，吃个橘子再看一遍。。。

太多单词都时似曾相识却无法明确其意义，只能点着词霸看

他的论文用于美国黑人种族歧视时比较好用（applied to discrimination against Black in the USA,这论文用来反对种族歧视呢，还是用来维护？），但是他的种族偏见的定义——“基于种族的否定判断是对立于种族竞争“——能够被解释为也包含种族群体的对抗如中国人在加利福尼亚，犹太人在中东。——语无伦次，没明白到底是褒是贬，引号里面的内容挫伤着偶的耐心，再看一遍还是不太理解

生词：

thesis 论文

discrimination：辨别，歧视

racial：种族的

prejudice：偏见损害

ethnic：人种的

interpret：解释，说明

hostility：敌意，对抗

用杨老师的话来说，引号里面的内容用词抽象，如果无法快速理解，可以用“合理化原则“，but之前说论点对美国黑人的种族歧视管用，转折后的内容就应该说其理论对华人和犹太人相对无用

贴上书中的翻译，虽然是汉语但是也够费劲的“在任何特定区域里用基于种族的负面的先人之见来反对某人群（此人群通常被认作一个种族）"

偶自己的理解掺入了个人偏见。

但更大的错还在于“意义不大“被我翻成了主观的“重要性被忽略”。

另外the like 是“其他类似方面的意思”啊，别我糟蹋成了“喜好”-_-!

这句的两个倒装还是比较容易辨别：to demonstrate, lacking that

又是个抽象的句意，载了n次跟头了“神经冲动（impluse）的性质（quality）和状态（condition）是受这些差异影响的，而这些差异（which指代的the difference）看起来却能影响神经网络的发育模式。”

quality相关单词翻成性质——Y）变化从未被rigidly反驳，但是doctrine通常会被放弃以利于（这次试着把favor翻成有利于而不是喜欢！）对立的观点，namely（眼熟想不起来，记牢了，是“即，也就是”）神经冲动（再记住impluse是冲动——Y）是基本上homogeneous性质并被当做普通的currency（应该不是货币吧。。。）通过神经系统传输。

句型不是太难，明显的Although转折，对着上题的折腾几个抽象名词都是一样的。

rigidly：坚硬地，严格地

doctrine：教条，学说

homogeneous：同类的，相似的，均匀的

译文：

in favor of opposing view译为“转向相反的观点”

currency还有一个意思是"流通"啊

seems to support the serial hypothesis 译为“更倾向于于支持（那个辨认过程是一）系列的假说”这个括号里的补充很诡异。。。不过不这么补确实有觉得不知道句子在说什么是假设，都怀疑句子有问题了

这题对我来说挺难，译文：“如果我们先来(one begins)研究一下为什么古人会提到亚马逊人，下面的一点就变得清晰了，那就是古希腊对于这种社会的描述不是太多的被用来表达观察到得历史事实——真正的亚马逊社会——而是为了对于妇女在其社会中的统治（rule）所设想的后果提供一种‘道德教训’”。

Something be meant to represent是 use some to mean的被动；

Be meant to（打算做）和not… rather套在一起“不是为了……而是为了”

Supposed有很多的意思：据信，被认为；预期的；假想的、被想当然的；

经历这些题，有时候即便是书中给出的译文，由于缺乏上下文，就算是中文对我都显苦涩，放平心态go on

生词太多抓主体：总的来说是发现某某原子的等式不是精确地，而是近似的，这对数学家来说很震惊。

magnetic：磁性的，有吸引力
dipole：双极子
infinite：无限的，无穷的
quantum：量子

犯了一个错：错位的认为it may come as a shock的it 指代着从to mathematicians 到分号；而实际it指代的一致到句子结束。
