Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: The most important problems in today's world will be solved in our lifetime.

As technology develops at a superfast speed, people might have a fallacy that the most essential issues today will be solved in a few decades later. On the contrary, I, personally, have a negative attitude towards this opinion, since human have already been confronting many problems, such as diseases, environment pollution and wars. Sometimes I concede that we get more problems than answers while overcoming them.



At first, even though the highly developing medical standards contribute one of the most vital ingredients of high quality of life, many diseases, for example, Aids and most of cancers, remain uncured by now. As for Aids, it was first identified in 1981 in America and until now, over thirty years has passed, scientists and doctors have had nothing to do with a patient with Aids. Every person in the world acknowledges the truth that infecting with Aids means the same as death. Unless there will be a miracle happens, Aids are hardly able to be cured.



Even if a miracle about Aids does occur in a few decades, there is still other challenge, like environmental problems, people are facing right now. The earth pays the bill for human about the development of industry. People left the pollution problem there without concern until recently those pollutions have placed a negative influence on the quality of life standards. Scarcely a pure blue sky see we, although it is a sunny day. Sweet voices of birds in the city seem to be only in a remote memory. All of those are sacrificed for an advanced industry. When people suddenly wake up, we end up with a dilemma between development of technology and environmental protection. Even if we choose the latter one, we still have a long way to go, since many damages have already taken place and hardly can be recovered.



The problem of wars will never cease, although both the miracle about diseases and remedy of environment happen. The reason is obvious. Now I would like to talk about why we have wars. Wars reflect the huge greedy of human and aspiration of occupation.They are part of human nature and instinct. Thus, I have to concede that as long as human exist, wars never stop.



On conclusion, there are millions of problems that exist in the world and can hardly be coped with for a few years. I concur with the opinion without hesitation, while holding the faith that all of those dark sides can finally be defeated by the effort and endeavor of whole human beings.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement. Movies and television have more negative effects than positive effects on the way young people behave.



Although increasing ways of entertainment are created every day, televisions and movies still play an essential role in every person's daily life. At the same time, their effects on teenagers catch more and more attention of each parent. As a juvenile myself, I advocate the affirmative effects of televisions and movies.



First of all, as a a enjoyable entertainment method, televisions and movies provide people with not only pure pleasure but also broad knowledge. Various TV programs and movies are suitable of people at different ages and in different mood. Like many people, I am fund of talk shows on TV, which assist me in eliminating every annoy affair in my mind. As for my little brother at 10 years old, he is really interested in those scientific programs, such as chemical courses, which lead to a chemical world fraught with magic. Thus, compared with other entertainment, such as computer games which only bring violence environment to young people, televisions and movies deserve a supporting attitude from every person.



What is more, I concede that televisions become a link of communication among family members. This is one of the most significant reasons that I could not agree to more. Nowadays, generation gas has become a popular problem among families, with the rapid development of society and huge changes in people's lifestyles. We sincerely cherish the opportunity that a whole family gets together after dinner sit in front of televisions and discuss one topic warmly. For example, during the 2012 Olympic games, those interesting and exiting sports games capture everyone's heart in my family.



Just as a coin has two sides, every affair has their own benefits and risks. As to television and movies, I have to admit that violence and such sometimes involves in them which might lead young people to a path of crime. However, a person can never hide at home, only because he is afraid of being killed by a car accident. Negative influence will be easily eliminated by carefully monitoring what children watch and a lead to bright side of every affairs.



On balance, since advantages of televisions and movies carry more weight than their disadvantage, I, personally, side with the opinion that televisions and movies have more affirmative influence on young people without hesitation.
