Three possible hypotheses are mentioned in the reading material talking about what is the Chaco Great House used for, but according to the profession, all of these three theory are failed to make people believe.


The first theory holds that the Chaco Great structures were residential because the structures looks like “apartment buildings”.However, a conflicting idea in the speech indicates that when examined inside of the house, it shows that there are only few fireplaces remained inside the house, which indicated that the impossibility of the residential used. Besides, very few rooms in the Great house also proves the theory unconvincing, too.



The second theory contends that the chaco structures were used to store food supplies, because the size of the great houses are suitable for the purpose. But the profession points out that there have no trace of grains found in the house, and there also lack of big containers which should be used for stored the food. So, the house could not be used as a storage place.

The third theory proposes that the houses were used as ceremonial centers, for the reasons that excavations of the mound revealed a lot of broken pots, which suppose are used for special ceremonies, however, This standpoint is also opposed by the professor. For that in the house, besides large number of broken pots, there are also found sand, stones, and other building material around the site. Hence, the evidence are just trash which is thought as remains by the constructors, cannot support the hypothesis

Modern life style is now being shown by the variety of relaxations. As a result, how to plan your leisure time are becoming a popular topic of conversation, and it seems that many people have different opinions to it. Recently, people tend to focus on a argument that whether you chose movie or physical exercise to relax yourself. Because there lack perfect conclusion to convince everyone, it turns to a hot topic, when it comes to me, I prefer to chose movie and book to relax myself.

To begin with, compared with doing physical exercise, reading book is an easy way to make yourself feel relaxation. Reading book or watch movie does not need you speed much energy. Can you image what a nice feeling you will have when you sleep on the sofa and eating some potato chips? It is no doubt that watching the latest comedy can bring you a good emotion and it will definitely improve your work efficiency.

Secondly, with the rapid develop of our modern world, watching movie or reading book are more convenient than yesterday. For example, today it is a common sense that people reading book or watching movie though electronic equipments such as iphone, lap-top. This electronic equipments allow us to read book in any public places, which means that we have chance to relax ourselves at any moment and at any time. As a consequences, modern people are prefer to chose watching movie to rest because the relaxations are very convenient.

Maybe some people want to mention that doing physical exercise will strengthen your body , but they ignore one important point, after one days hard work, it is no doubt that white-collars are already run out of most energy, that is to say, this is impossible to force yourself to go to the gymnasium. So, chose doing exercise to relax yourself just exist in the mind of some people who are sports funs.

In summary, because modern people’s life style are very tight, it is too idealize to everyone that doing exercise in regular. This makes books and films become better choice when people want to relax themselves.

the listening material and reading passage give contradictory opinions on the topic of ecocertification,, the profession donot agree with the statement that wood companies in the United States would not have adopted new, ecologically friendly practices in order to receive ecocertification.



First, the reading material state that American consumers do not place much trust in advertising claims and they also would not value or even pay attention to the ecocertification label, because there are too much advertise around them. But the profession said that When a claim is made by an independent third party such as a wood certification company, he posits, consumers respond very positively with strong acceptance of the certified product.



The profession also disagree the second point in the reading material that American consumers are likely to choose cheap wood products without certification. The profession said All the consumers are concern about the price of products, however, when the price have little difference with each other, the consumers are care about other things such as eco-friendly label.



Finally, receiving eco-certification is, according to the professor, an important strategy used by American wood companies to ensure that their products can compete against ecocertified wood products imported into the domestic market from foreign countries. According to the reading, however, this strategy is unnecessary because American consumers are likely to be content with domestically manufactured products, even if they are not ecocertified.

Most people can solve the important problem in their lives by themselves or help from their families;help from the government is often not necessary

1,the government can not help everyone, so you need to deal some problem by yourself like old people can be cared by their  relatives and children.
2,some problem can be solved good by private person, the help form government are unnecessary and useless like education
3,the government really did some things which affective our daily life, but It is hardly to put hope on the government to deal every things.




Today, more and more people are beginning to complaint about their government, especially for the ineffective execution. And the idea that we should look forward to our government satisfactory action to solve our social problems are becoming controversial since it was been discussed many times by the publics and politics. Some politicians and citizens want to clarify this situation simply, they believe that the help from government are powerful and efficiency, if the government make decision, every problem can be settled quickly. But obviously this opinion are failed to convinced everyone. Several points in different dimensions will prove it.
First of all, the government can not bring welfare to everyone on the society, and sacrifice the interests of some part people to satisfy other part of people is one of the common ways which the government always taken, they are only sake for some balance. As a consequence of it, the majority of us who are really need some help will chose turn to our families and our relations, or deal with ourself. For example, if according to the government policy, those old people who need some medical care are ignored, who can give them help?
generally, there are many things that ruled by private can led to a good result, the help from the government is often necessary. and this I take education as a example. Today there are many private school around the world, this school solve many problems

Environment and economic are both key words of our time, no matter who you are, everyone want to driving a powerful car to breathe the fresh air in the mountain, that is human nature, however, few of people have to experience this perfect illusion, so, there is much discussion over should government spend its money to protect environment or develop our economic, and different people hold opposite ideas. When it to me, I think government should focus its budgets on the economic development, it is better solutions to this question, here is my explanations.



To begin with, No one can deny the importance of environment, the nature provide fresh air, clean water, healthy food to us, so protest the environment is necessary to everyone. However, to protest our environment from pollution need a lot of money, for we need to purchase professional equipments, pay for the workers and experts who are engaged to this work, and sometimes the government must give benefit to this pollution sources, the factories. All of this measures need money, so, the living residents who are failed to enjoy the friendly environment must endurance the extra finance pressure. And this huge projects are easy to end at half, because lack of money. Further more, some environment projection need take few years to complete, and maybe after few decades, it will have satisfactory effect.



Secondly, to solve environment problem need people focus for a long time, and more importantly, the idea about protest the daily environment are also needed to implant in the local people mind, let the government speed a lot of money without calculate to protest our environment are definitely bad decision. For example, the yellow river, flowing passed my hometown lanzhou, been heavily polluted during past 30 years, the lanzhou citizens were complaint for this for many years, and a lot of mayors want to clear the river, they speed a lot of money on it, but unfortunately, one of the government finance source is excavated the sand of river bank, so they are controversial to think should allow the excavated ship to take the sand of river bank. But finally they decide to development the economic first.



Finally, Maybe someone want to question the result of economic first. I will take the Thames as a good example, in 17th, the Thames are famous dirty river, the report said that at that time, the river full of  white fomes and the whole river have unplasent fumes ,you can hardly see a little fish, the citen are comlaint of the dirty river, and the government said they can do nothing about it because the government need the factory bring revene. When England became a developed contury and the citien and politics realised that environment is a important part of their daily life, they begian to clean the river. Today , people can swim in the Thames, and this is impossible in 200 years ago. This example tell us when you want to protest the environment , you must chose the economic first.



In short,Today, there are still many people who live under the traditional ideas that if you want to clean the river, you must close the factory around the river, if you want to fresh the air, you need remove the chimney from city. But the facts proved this can not solve the problem.
